About Yalda Night
Yalda night or “Shabe Cheleh” is one of the most ancient Persian festivals. It is considered as the longest night of the year at the arrival of winter. The festival dates back to 8000 years ago, before the Zoroastrian religion. It is symbolizing the light, goodness and strength on earth. In Shiraz, people gather in Hafez Mausoleum and have cheerful times of pleasure by reading Hafez and Molana poetry books.
Day 1 (Shiraz) O/N Shiraz
After arriving at Shahid Dastgheib International Airport of Shiraz, you will meet and greet Derak representatives. Then, you will transfer to a hotel to rest
Day 2 (Shiraz) O/N Shiraz
Right after having your breakfast, you will drive toward Marvdasht County (52 km) to visit the masterpieces of Achaemenid Empire:
Then, at night, you will discover the mirror works of Ali Ibn Hamzeh Holy Shrine.
Day 3 (Shiraz) O/N Shiraz

In the late evening, you will go to Hafez Tomb, the beloved poet of the 14th century, to participate in the Yalda Festival in which the poems of Hafez are presented as traditional songs or reciting. Then, you will go to a traditional house to experience the Iranian rituals with locals while staying awake until midnight.
Day 4 (End of the Tour)
This morning, there will be time for exploring
Then, you will transfer to Shiraz International Airport for departure flight.
This festival is held on 30 Azar in Iranian calendar (21 December) every year.
